Two Movies That Will Make You a Better Photographer

The majority of the shots in Baraka and Samsara have little to no camera movements. They look like beautiful still photographs with some music added for atmosphere.

If you ever get the chance to see these in the theaters do so. I missed Baraka but I did see Samsara in 4K which blew my mind. Both films were shot on 70mm film and digitized in post so the detail in the theaters is other worldly.

When you’re watching these think about what it would be like to see your best work move. Think about how these films have such amazing imagery and how they look like still photography come alive.

    Totally agree. Both had a heavy influence in the way I see the world around me… could have been the drugs too!
