Awesome … my favorite colors too.. I will be looking at this for my pen. I have huge hands and that grip looks like it’s the ticket.  Great job on the video.

Thanks Steven! It really helps the handling and because it looks so cool it’s also a fun conversation piece.

While I don’t intend to purchase any new photography tools anytime soon… I truly enjoyed watching you in this video, G.  Nicely done all around.  And that camera looks hella dope.

G, I dig your Pen Mini. I just got my Mini a few days ago and lovin’ it. I’m going to post my impressions in a bit and link back to Pimp Yo Pen.

I can’t believe how many times you stuck and unstuck the wrap and it still stayed put, good glue.  I have done the same with my E-P3, they do look awesome.  If anyone is doing this one hint is you can move the wrap a bit once it is on, the glue does allow for a little shifting of the cover after it is first applied, just push it around with your thumb.

Keep the vids coming Giulio, nice work.

Thanks Matt! I’m so glad the glue worked after re-sticking it so many times. I got to say though if I wanted to move it once it was on that was not going to happen. It was stuck in place. Maybe they changed the glue? Post you Pen pics when you get time I’d love to see them.

      Thanks again for reading!

Cool video… I have a nice little addon I found that you might like. It is like the grip you show in the video, but this one is machined from aircraft grade aluminum, and has a beautiful matte finish. Pretty fly. I am NOT affiliated w/ the guy making them, I just wanted to share. I’ll pop in some links for ya.

Looks great Jamie! Since the grip is from aluminum is it slippery at all? Thanks for posting.

Sorry for the delayed response. It actually has a texture to it and is easily held firm. I have used it w/ sweaty hands while in Florida this spring and it never slipped once.

        • http://giuliosciorio.com Giulio Sciorio

          Good to know thanks!

Aki Asahi recommends wetting the adhesive with some water to delay sticking.. What you should do is wet the bit that goes around the lens mount so you can move it around a little bit before pressing the rest down :)

      Thanks for the tip Darren.

Very nice. I’m considering making the jump to OM-D to replace my recently stolen “big” camera and lenses. I’d love to personalise the OM-D like this (deep pink?), but it looks like it might invalidate my warranty.

Looking forward to seeing how you pimp yo OM-D.

    • http://giuliosciorio.com Giulio Sciorio

I’m not sure if it would invalidate your warranty but you should talk to Olympus first. I’m taking my time before I pimp out my OM-D but I’ll be doing it for sure! Just got to decide on the color.

      • Adam

I have some time to think about it (and to wait to see your pimped OM-D) as I am still waiting for the insurance payout. :-?

It was this caveat on Aki Asahi’s site that slowed me down…
This kit fits to Olympus E-M5, does not fit to any other cameras.
        [ ATTENTION ! ]
Warranty will be void if you remove the original skin. Please change the skin at your own risk.
Installation is extremely difficult, this kit is suitable for advanced user.

Hey G, I just bought a used PM-1. It has only around 750 shots so it’s pretty good. But when I turn it off, it makes a grinding noise. Is that normal?
