    Hello Mr. Sciorio,
I love your work! And you also have a home in Austin, where my aunt lives in Barton Creek (I believe that is the name), home to some of Austin’s most spectacular mansions. My question to you, and if you are too busy like me since I am writing my first fiction novel and having a home built here which is near Dallas, is which smartphone takes the best pictures and price is not important to me. I had a Facebook page up a few years ago and photographers all over this country where wanting to take pictures of me for a portfolio. It got to be too overwhelming for me and finally I will hopefully have a profile pic up since I have an appt. with a good photographer this or next week. If you are too busy to respond to my inquiry then that will be fine because I think I will either buy the Sony Xperia 2 or the Nokia that has a over 30 mp camera.Thank you very much and I will continue to enjoy your work. My twin cousins that also live in Austin have put up some expeditions of their interesting painting and photography there in Austin which they also sell. Have a wonderful week! Sincerely,
    – Ryan. My email is XXXXXXX@gmail.com

      Hello Ryan,

thanks for reading and commenting. As far as smart phones go I’m an iPhone user. Although I had a few Android phones with even greater specs than the iPhone their cameras did not capture an image as nice as an iPhone. If you want a small camera that has DSLR quality the size of a smartphone look at the Lumix GM1.

FYI I removed your email addy. Having it public is an invitation for spam.

    Hi Giulio,
WOW!!!! you are truly an expert with Flixel Cinemagraph Pro, your demonstration was awesome and you made everything look so easy plus your video is superbly tutorial also, can Flixel Cinemagraph Pro be purchased for Windows-7 or is it purley for Mac, also i have a Panasonic G6 camera, what are your opinions on its video quality/performance, myself? i am not in to 4K territory yet but think for me at the moment the video from the G6 is awesome for my needs at present, also i think the G6 is a very underated camera and deserves more respect among some `DSLR`IS BEST` peeps, the ones who look down their noses at Micro 4/3, i dumped my 60D and never looked back, and never will, this little G6 took me by storm, i worship it lololol, however would i love a G4? `you bet` however Giulio, thanks for taking the time to read this and hope to hear from you and i wish u all the luck for the future and look forward to reading and learning from more of your excellent articles.
    best regards,

Hey Allan! Thanks for the compliments and the comment. The G6 is such a cool camera. Shame it’s not talked about that much in the states. It’s quite a seller in Europe.

I’d love to see Cinemagraph Pro on a Windows Surface Pro. That would be awesome! In the meantime there’s an app called Cliplets. It’s not as elegant a solution but it works and you can add additional layers of loops as well.

I know the team at Flixel personally and they’re really cool people but like many indie dev teams they’re small and with limited resources it’s easier to launch first on OSX/iOS since both OS’s share code.

It would not surprise me to see Flixel launch apps on Windows in the future but I suspect to see it first on Android.

Sorry, but these goobers forgot to make a Windows version.

  4. Julia August June 4, 2014 at 12:15 am #

Allan, I don’t think they have a version that is compatible with Windows . . . or I would have it already. That will be a very happy day for many. :) Myself included. I can hardly believe I have to pass up this $25 steal simply because I don’t have a MAC. :/

We may be lucky one day Julia x x

I really hope so, Allan. They’d be smart to start gathering our email addresses to let us know when that version comes out. Hint. Hint. I don’t want to miss out.
