Finding The Perfect Budget Shoulder Bag For Micro Four Thirds

Lowepro Event Messenger 100

Hey guys!   I wanted to share this VLOG post I made over at DiscoverMirrorless a few weeks ago after I had received my new Panasonic Lumix G5.   The G5 has been great and I’ve been getting to know it a lot better this month, but back when it first came in I was faced with quiet the dilemma.  I didn’t have a camera bag which was small enough to fit it, yet large enough to hold the G5 and several lenses.  With my Panasonic Lumix GF3 I had been using a LowePro Edit 110 but it was definitely not big enough for the G5… PERIOD!

Hop on over to my Discover Mirrorless VLOG and check out the full story and video!

I posted some thoughts about another LowePro bag over here, with a list of stuff I fit into it and a shot of same.

Hi Matt I actually had the Nova on my list of ones to check out, but there were a few things that stuck out to me. Was more so looking at the Nova 140 than the 160. I have a larger version the older Nova 4 which has served me great for many years, but it really does dwarf the Micro Four Thirds gear hehe. (I could fit two gripped DSLRs and about 5 lenses and flash between them.

Hi, new here. I use an OM-D, Olympus 14-42mm, Panasonic 100-300mm, my absolute fav wildlife lens of all time, including large bugs and butterflies, plus flowers, and most nature shots, and an Olympus 60mm f2.8 macro, which I’m learning. I have an older Oly fl36 flash, works great, and a cheap led ring light/flash, which is excellent. I carry all of this with a bit of room to spare in a CaseLogic sling bag, far more comfortable than a Nova.
        Cheers,
        Denny
